Review: Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway

If there's one thing that stays on my beauty routine despite the pregnancy, it's sunblock! We need need need it. :) Good thing I found a non-chemical formula that's light and has a fluid texture as I don't like the super creamy sunblock. Major plus that it's SPF50++ and protects our skin from both UVA & UVB rays - the Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway.

From Althea Korea's very own line products, this sunblock promises a soft, velvety finish for a petal-like skin. also perfect for those with oily skin because it also has sebum control.

I have dry skin though, so I cannot vouch for the sebum-control part. But the soft, velvety finish? Yup! You could definitely feel it. It moisturizes my skin and doesn't feel greasy or too creamy at all.

I also love that it's made from natural ingredients so I feel safe to use it despite the pregnancy. It also feels light on the skin and doesn't cause me any breakouts.

It offers SPF 50+ PA+++ that protects us from both UVB and UVA rays. It is also very hydrating, which is difficult to find in a sunblock.

Another thing I love about this product is that it applies evenly without leaving a white cast. Major issue ko yan sa ibang sunblock talaga - white cast. So difficult specially on pictures diba?

So if you want a long-wearing, moisturizing sunblock that offers a strong protection against the sun this is it!

It only cost 480Php per 55ml bottle on Althea so super sulit sya.

If you have really oily skin, it's best to dust it off with a little Althea Petal Velvet Powder so a more mattified finish.

Althea Petal Velvet Powder now comes in Natural Beige, Pink Lavender and Translucent shades. I personally use the translucent one to top off my base kasi it's very light on the skin. Though not every day.

So far, Althea's line of products looks really promising. They really know what the customer needs. And I'm very excited to try their other products too!
