The #FabSkye just turned three. She is extra hyper, extra talkative, extra independent these days. While I love the uninterrupted sleep (except pag nawawala sya sa tabi ko tapos ako napaparanoid agad, bakit nga kaya tayo ganyang mga nanay no? Ano na-abduct ng alien habang tulog tayo? Ganern?!) and the fact that I could now spend a little more me time, I sometimes miss her being a baby.
I miss her baby smell. I miss her being small and clingy and always wanting dede. Just the other day, she said “I want dede Nanay”. And so I offered her my boob tapos sinubo nya lang. She didn’t suck like she used to. Parang, awkward na for her ang dumede. And I was like! OMG!! Things are really getting real.
Most of the time, naloloka na din ako on how she would react on things. Yung mga arte nyang “it’s not funny” pag natatawa kami sa kanya. And her “I’m just kidding!” when she made us laugh.
Marunong na ding magtampo at umarte.
Also, lately we’ve been changing our discipline tactics. Face the wall is no longer effective. We would usually have “a talk” now. Where I would make her seat and look at me and then I will tell her what she did that made me mad or why it is bad.
The other day I also tried the “dapa” method na effective sa amin kaya ta-try ko sana. Here’s what happened:
Me: Ilang beses na kitang sinabihan? Ayaw mo makinig kay Nanay? Hala sige dumapa ka (so pinadapa ko habang naglilitanya) at ng mapalo ka sa pwet dahil matigas na ang ulo mo. Ang laki mo na. Hindi ka na baby. Dapat isang sabihan lang. Sinabi ko na sayo na masama yun! Hindi ka marunong makinig? Dapat isang sabihan lang sumusunod ka! Naiintindihan mo ko?Skye: …Me: Naiintindihan mo ko?!!Skye: …Me: Do you understand me?!!Skye: NO!
Paksyet!! Nyahahaha! Ayun, nagtranslate ako into english at in fairness naintindihan naman nya. Bwahahaha! Sakit sa bangs eh.
Although I didn’t spank her that time. Hindi kaya ng puso ko bes. I got her Tatay’s belt and attempted to spank her on the butt but I can’t. Although yesterday, I did spank her on the butt pero mukhang di ko na uulitin. Parang di ko talaga kaya mamalo ng bagets. Ni try ko pa muna kung masakit yung belt eh. So far naman hindi masakit pero kung makaiyak sya akala mo latigo pinamalo ko. So parang di ko na uulitin. Balik kami sa “talk” for now. Let’s see. Probably face the wall na medyo mas matagal ano? Haaaaaay!!!
I honestly don’t know how to discipline her anymore. I love that she’s defiant and strong and witty but of course I want her to grow up kind and disciplined. Ang hirap lang maging Nanay eh no?

For now yun muna. Back to work ang lola nyo! Ermergerd!!! So hirap this new project. Nakakaputi ng ngala ngala!
